How does invisible text work on Discord?
Invisible Unicode characters can appear blank while still counting as text. Users sometimes try them for message spacing or nickname formatting, although Discord may reject some characters in certain fields.
How to copy an invisible character
- Visit the [BlankyText copy tool](/).
- Copy Hangul Filler (U+3164) or Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800).
- Open Discord and navigate to the text field you want to edit.
- Paste the character and check how it appears.
- Save only if Discord allows the change.
Can you create a blank Discord nickname?
Discord's rules for display names, usernames and server nicknames can differ. A blank-looking character may be accepted in one context and rejected in another. There is no universal method that always works.
What about empty messages?
Some Discord clients reject blank-looking messages or remove unsupported characters. If that happens, use normal spacing or a visible separator instead.
